Holiday Parade

On Saturday we we able to take Logan to the Christmas parade. I have not been to the Christmas parade in years so not only was it fun for Logan, it was fun for me. We bundeled up, endured the light sprinkling rain, drank hot chocolate, and waved to the floats as they slowly passed by. While I was worried about Logan's attention span being able to last the entire parade, he couldn't stop watching....I guess I should have concerned myself more with Jared. Yes we left before the end of the parade and before we got to see Santa because Jared had had enough. Overall we had a great time simply because Logan was so infauated with the floats, people, and characters in the parade. It was also a nice treat to see Grandma Haustveit walking in the parade and handing out candy!

Halloween

Gummy and Carolyn

Delicious!

More please

Halloween was tons of fun this year. Logan has officially decided he loves candy!! I think he got the love for sweats from his grandpa Haustveit, Jared would disagree and believes he gets it from his mom. Either way I now have a constant companion who will chow down on almost any kind of candy! This year Logan was able to get dressed in is vampire attire two different times. First, on Thursday we were lucky to go over and celebrate Halloween at Gummy's assisted living. Not only did Logan dress up so did my grandma(she was a referee and a darn cute one). While it was a little hectic trying to help my grandma and keep track of Logan we had a great time. I think Logan had more fun playing with the walkers, canes, and oh yes even the electrical wheelchair...that was scary. I treasure these special moments we can spend with my grandma and Logan's great grandma. The next day, Halloween, we were able to get all dressed up again, Jared and me too. We began the wonderfully warm day by having lunch with Jared's mom and Mark. It is always a treat to take time out and go downtown so see Kris. Our ward had a trunk-or-treat later that evening, which is always fun...good food, friends, and of course games. Jared and I did not dress up last year so after a little persuasion I conviced Jared to dress up with me. We really didn't have any person, thing, or animal in mind to be, so we just decided to dress up like 70's roller durby skaters...we had a blast. Our Halloween adventures for 2008 were very fun and successful. I can't wait till next year.
